Frequently Asked Questions
What is Ambium
Ambium is a secure home operating system for managing the critical information behind your property. It brings together your key documents — insurance policies, certificates, warranties, contracts, compliance records, manuals, and service history — in one central, secure place. Beyond storage, Ambium actively monitors important dates, renewals, expiries, and actions, helping you stay ahead of anything that needs attention. It can also prompt key decisions at the right time, such as whether to renew a policy, book maintenance, update a certificate, replace an appliance, or review a supplier contract. Your home’s documents, obligations, decisions, and essential records — organised, monitored, and securely managed in one system.
How is this different from cloud storage like Google Drive?
Cloud storage archives documents. Ambium builds an operational layer around your property. It doesn’t just store files — it understands them. It tracks expiry dates, monitors renewal cycles, maintains a structured history, and highlights what needs attention before it becomes urgent. Over time, it becomes a living record of your property — able to compare changes, surface patterns, and support better decisions.

Ambium is currently an early prototype, so please avoid uploading highly sensitive personal or financial documents at this stage. As Ambium develops, it is being designed around a high-security data model, including strong encryption standards such as AES for protecting stored data, secure account access, and clearer controls over privacy, document access and data deletion. During testing, we recommend using example documents, redacted documents, or lower-sensitivity household records.
